Summary[edit]

Description
English: NASA Flight Director Donald R. Puddy monitors his console in Mission Control during the first free flight test of the Shuttle Enterprise in 1977.
Puddy joined NASA in 1964 and went on to become the agency's 10th flight director. He had a 31 year career at NASA, and acted as a flight director during the Apollo program, Skylab, Apollo-Soyuz, and through space shuttle testing and STS-1. He died November 22, 2004, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 67.
