Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

Both eyes open edit
Hi, your edit on my talk page shows that you have not looked at the original uploader of the file, not at the person who transferred the file from English Wikipedia, and not at the giant red-bordered box on the top of my talk page. Instead, you glimpsed at the tool that did the transfer, and followed it to me, even though I have nothing whatsoever to do with the file in question. Please try to avoid wasting your and my time like that in the future. --Magnus Manske (talk) 15:32, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
British passports edit
Hi, These files were already nominated, and kept. So speedy deletion is not appropritate. See Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Passports of the United Kingdom. In addition, never remove a license. And last, {{Speedydeletion}} is the wrong template. For copyvios, you should use {{Copyvio}}. Thanks, Yann (talk) 21:34, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
